The following items will allow you to take the field at nearly every event that the 300th attends. As time and budget allows, you can expand your collection to tailor your uniform and gear to more specific time frames and campaigns. Consult one of the older members to ensure that you're purchasing either original items or quality reproductions.
Basic Uniform and Gear:
Helmet, Steel, M1
* Adopted June 1941. Featured an anti-magnetic stainless steel rim that was 
seamed in the front. The chin strap was attched to welded loops or "fixed bails".
* Movable chin strap loops or "swivel bails" were introduced in November 1943
* October 1944, the stainless steel rim was deleted for a steel rim due to stainless steel being a poor surface to adhere paint to.
* November 1944, the seam was swiched to the back of the helmet.
Liner, Helmet, M1
* The Fibre liners manufactured by Hawley and General Fibre were produced from June 1941 until November 1942. Aprrox. 4 million made.
* The Low-Pressure liner was made from 1942 until the end of 1943. Approx. 1.5 million made.
* The High-Pressure liner was produced from 1943 until the end of the war. Approx. 38 million made.
Cap, Wool, Knit, M-1941
* Standardized for wear in February 1942.
Jacket, Field, Olive Drab
* First pattern was adopted 7th October 1940.
* Second pattern adopted May 1942. The pocket flaps of the previous pattern were deleted and epaulettes were added to the shoulders.
Shirt, Flannel, OD Coat Style
Trousers, Wool, Serge, OD, Light Shade
Shoes, Service, reverse Upper
* Introduced in June of 1943
Leggings, Canvas, M-1938, Dismounted
* Introduced in 1939
* November 1944 production leggings were 3" shorter than the previous pattern.
